Rail connectivity

New stoppage commences for the Bhagat Ki Kothi – MGR Chennai Central Superfast Express

Attended the programme marking the commencement of a new stoppage for train numbers 20626/20625, the Bhagat Ki Kothi – MGR Chennai Central Superfast Express, organised by the Ahmedabad Division of Western Railway. A stoppage of this kind widens the practical reach of an entire taluka: it decides whether a student can attend a college in another district, whether a trader can move a consignment, and whether a family can travel for treatment without an overnight halt.

Independence Day

Independence Day observed at the district programme

Participated in the district Independence Day programme held under the theme of eighty years of independence — “a proud history, a bright future”. Occasions of this kind are also working occasions in a rural district: they bring together the administration, elected representatives and citizens in one place, and a great deal of what a constituency needs is raised on the sidelines.

Har Ghar Tiranga

Har Ghar Tiranga procession flagged off by the district administration

Joined the Har Ghar Tiranga programme organised by the district administration with the Department of Sports, Youth and Cultural Activities, Government of Gujarat. The campaign asks every household to hoist the national flag, and the procession brings schools, youth organisations and community bodies onto the same street for a morning.

District review

District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee meeting, Patan

Attended the District Development Coordination and Monitoring (DISHA) Committee meeting convened by the District Rural Development Agency at the Collectorate, Patan. These meetings are where the implementation of central and state schemes is examined against actual figures — which is the difference between reviewing a programme and merely being briefed about it.

How this page is maintained

This page publishes only engagements that can be documented. Dates and event details shown above are taken from the official programme material visible in the photographs — banners, invitation boards and nameplates. Where the year on that material is not fully legible, only the day and month are given. Engagements with no verifiable date are not published here; the photographs concerned appear in the gallery instead.
